QR Code Customization

Brand your QR codes with custom colors and logos

Make your QR codes stand out with custom colors, embedded logos, and unique styles. Branded QR codes are more recognizable and trustworthy.

Color Options

Foreground Color

The color of the QR code pattern itself. Default is black. You can use any color, but ensure there's enough contrast with the background.

Background Color

The background behind the QR code. Default is white. Can be set to transparent for PNG/SVG exports.

Gradient Options

Pro and Business plans can apply gradient colors to the QR code pattern for a more dynamic look.

Color Tip

For best scanning reliability, maintain at least a 4:1 contrast ratio between foreground and background colors.

Logo Embedding

Add your logo or brand icon to the center of the QR code (Pro and Business plans):

  1. Upload your logo (PNG or SVG recommended)
  2. Adjust size (recommended: 20-30% of QR code size)
  3. QR code automatically adds error correction for the logo area

Logo Requirements

  • Square aspect ratio works best
  • Simple designs are more readable
  • Max file size: 1MB
  • Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG

Style Options

Corner Styles

Choose the style for the three corner squares:

  • Square - Classic, sharp corners
  • Rounded - Soft, rounded corners
  • Dots - Circular corner markers

Dot Styles

Choose the style for the data pattern:

  • Square - Traditional square pixels
  • Rounded - Rounded square pixels
  • Dots - Circular dots
  • Classy - Connected rounded shapes

Error Correction Levels

QR codes have built-in error correction. Higher levels allow more damage/obstruction but make the code larger:

LevelRecoveryBest For
L (Low)~7%Clean environments, small print
M (Medium)~15%General use (default)
Q (Quartile)~25%With small logos
H (High)~30%With larger logos, outdoor use

When adding a logo, ShortyLink automatically uses H (High) error correction.
