Link Expiration
Set time limits and click caps on your short links
Link expiration allows you to control how long a link remains active. This is useful for time-sensitive campaigns, limited offers, or temporary access.
Types of Expiration
Date-Based Expiration
Set a specific date and time when the link should expire. After this time, clicking the link will show an expiration message.
Click-Based Expiration
Set a maximum number of clicks. Once reached, the link stops working. Perfect for exclusive content or limited downloads.
Combined Expiration
Use both methods together. The link expires when either condition is met first.
Setting Expiration
To add expiration to a link:
- Create a new link or edit an existing one
- Expand the Advanced Settings section
- Enable Link Expiration
- Choose expiration type and set values
- Save the link
Important
Once a link expires, it cannot be automatically reactivated. You can manually extend the expiration or remove the limit.
What Visitors See
When someone clicks an expired link, they're shown a friendly message explaining that the link is no longer available. You can customize this message in your account settings.
